Protea wanted to portray a 3D visual representation of the LAESI® process in the detection of biomarkers from a limited sample. Using Maya and Photoshop, I composed this image to portray how the laser in the LAESI® functions. The precise laser pulses interact with a minimal amount of the specimen, maintaining the integrity of the whole specimen. This allows for precise sampling and biomarker detection.
